Memorial Day means a lot of things to Americans. For those who have lost a family member to war, it could be a time to reflect on that service member’s life. It can mean the same for anyone who has a family member currently serving in a hostile part of the world. But as Americans, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this day and celebrate this gift of freedom if it wasn’t for the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in defense of our Country.
As you fire up the grill and celebrate this holiday weekend, please enjoy and appreciate this day with your loved ones. And, remember that other families are not so fortunate. This day may bring sadness for some, but it is also a way to celebrate the lives of our soldiers whose legacies will live on forever. The sacrifice our men and women of the military make is unparalleled; they truly represent the best of us. We thank everyone for their service, as they will never be forgotten.
We live in the land of the free because of these brave men and women.
